Gift Presented to the Scotland Women’s National Team by the Japanese Football Association

This week’s #ObjectoftheWeek is a 2019 Presentation Gift. This gift was presented to the Scotland Women’s National Team by the Japanese Football Association. This match was held at Roazhon Park in Rennes and attended by a crowd of 13,201. This is a hinged lacquerware plaque showing an image of Mount Fuji, a traditional Japanese building, and the words 'FIFA Women's World Cup 2019 Japan vs Scotland, 14th June 2019, Rennes, France.' The Scotland Women’s National Team were beaten 2-1 by the Japanese side.
