The London 2012 Summer Olympic Games

Today, we are saying au revoir to the Olympics as it’s the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Games. For the last #FridayFranceOlympics, we thought we highlight items from the 2012 Summer Olympic Games. London became the first city to host the modern Olympic Games three times. These games were successful for Great Britain as they came 3rd in the medal league table. Hampden Park, Glasgow, was used as one of the venues to host the men’s and women’s Olympic Football Tournament. The three men’s games involved Honduras, Morocco, Japan, and Spain. The five women’s games involved the United States of America, France, Columbia, and Korea DPR.
