Aberdeen Football Club was founded on the 14th of April 1903, after the amalgamation of the three city clubs Aberdeen, Victoria United and Orion. The club played its first match on the 15th of August against Stenhousemuir. This is a photograph of Aberdeen players Theo Snelders and Brian Irvine with the Scottish Cup after the penalty shoot-out win over Celtic at Hampden Park in 1990. Aberdeen beat Celtic 9-8 on penalties.
